British Museum (Free)
The main attraction for kids is the Egyptian mummies displayed in rooms 62 and 63, but there are plenty more exhibits which may be of interest to children. One of the best ways for kids to appreciate the museum and get the best out of it is to obtain trail booklets available in the Paul Hamlyn Library. There are also free family events run on Saturdays.

This is a children friendly museum. It is known as the family friendly museum. It offers a fantastic range of activities for children throughout the museum. It also has an aquarium, Nature Base with live animals and a beautiful garden for kids to run around and explore.

Imperial War Museum (Free)
This museum might be suitable for children above a certain age only. Never the less, it is a very interesting museum. It is not all about weapons, machinery and other war/army related objects. It also tells the story of how people lived during WW2 surviving the hardship brought about by the war. And there is the impressive Holocaust Exhibition, which traces the history of anti-Semitism leading to the setting up of horrible death camps by the Nazis.

The history of the transport in London is told and presented in an enjoyable and attractive way. Children will very much enjoy the exhibits and the various activities available. Rumours are that the museum is fun for adults too.
